Integrated Technology

Media Literacy and Media Education are best supported in an integrated technology classroom environment. Through technology, students can engaged in the learning of the new media using digital tools on and offline. Whether a group of students collaborate with peers across the globe using online meeting places or service like Skype; students and teachers engage in learning using interactive white board and digital manipulative; students prepare a multimedia presentation using Glogster and Prezi; teachers offer feedback and assistance through blogs; or students and teachers investigate and discuss the discourse of certain commercial campaign made available through video streaming services: Real World Learning is taking place in and outside of the classroom, enabled through the advancement of digital technology.
