Learn Through Play

Virtual gaming is one of the largest digital media industries today. The objective of video games is quite similar to the problem-based learning model in education. Students are presented with a purpose when they enter the game; thus they are motivated to 'learn' and 'acquire' skills and knowledge needed to reach the goal (complete the game and/or advance to the next level, in this case.) The gaming format is engaging, ever-evolving, and user-directed; a natural medium for the 21st century learners.
